The Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) requires that every governmental entity prepare a comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR) to be used as public record. The City of Fargo publishes its CAFR each year in June as an official report to citizens on how funds are used in the operation of city government. The city's fiscal year ends December 31. The 2010 CAFR has not been updated since the date of the independent auditor's report.
