Movies @ the Dr. James Carlson Library

tasty popcorn Do you like movies? Do you like popcorn? Free movies will be screened on the 2nd Friday of the month (September through May) at 1 p.m. in the community room at the Dr. James Carlson Library. Free popcorn is served for all films. Adults must accompany children ages 9 and under.

Books on Screen film reel

This free series features movies that were adapted from novels. Movies start at 2 p.m. in the library's community room followed by a post-film discussion facilitated by local media critic and retired professor Tony McRae. Free popcorn will be served.

This project is made possible in part by a grant from the North Dakota Humanities Council, a statewide nonprofit and affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, and by the Spirit Room.
