Citizens' Police Academy

 

The Fargo Police Citizens' Academy exposes citizens to many of the challenges that face our officers. The goal of the class is to provide education and awareness about what the Fargo Police Department is, what we do, and how we accomplish our mission.

Classes are comprised of lecture and realistic hands-on training when possible.  Instruction will be in the following areas: 

HinkelcitizenacademyThe class is free for participants and usually consists of 15 to 20 citizens. It is held twice per year, usually in the spring and fall, from 7 to 10 p.m. on Tuesdays. Students have the opportunity to ride with a uniformed officer at a time that is convenient to the student. 

Instructors will be command officers, patrol officers and staff of the Fargo Police Department.

The Fargo Police Citizens' Academy scheduled for Spring 2011 has been cancelled. The next The Fargo Police Citizens' Academy will be held in Fall 2011.
